About Jerry
When I was young, I learned a valuable lesson in helping others. I went to Taiwan and lived in an orphanage to teach kids English. I thought I embarked in this mission trip to just teach kids. But I discovered the power in making a difference in someone else’s life. Leaving the orphanage was heart-breaking because these kids truly appreciated the love that I gave. So appreciative that they gave me their most treasured item that they have so that I can remember them.
This experience shaped who I am today. Being an HR professional is about helping others and making a difference. Whether it’s placing a great new hire for a company or fixing a problematic situation amongst employees: I have a passion for people.
I left the world of a cushy salary with great benefits to embark my own missions work: to empower entrepreneurs and business leaders to get the best out of their people for their business. As a result, M-Power People Consulting Services was born.

I’m a seasoned HR professional with experience working for global and national companies, unionized workplaces, and start-ups. I have a keen interest in learning about new businesses and uncovering opportunities to help them grow. I’ve learned a lot, experienced a lot, done a lot, and now it’s time to give back to the community that have supported me: my alumni, business owners, causes that support in fighting cancer, and young professionals.
Connecting with entrepreneurs and business leaders are a lot of fun. You can find me chatting up sports at a Canucks game, talking food at a local hip restaurant, entertaining over a round of golf, sharing my BBQ experiences on Instagram, or spending quality time with my family.
